I was attending an event at the Eagle in Providence a while ago. And I brought a locked sub with me. During the evening I sent the sub to the bar to go fetch some drinks, and I noticed while he was at the bar, he was talking to someone. So this "someone" was wearing leather boots, jeans, and a leather harness. (Obviously one he must have bought in the local adult video store as it wasn't anything to speak of.
So while there were talking, this neophyte reached up and grabbed the lock on the sub's collar and started tugging down like he wanted the sub to go to town on his dick. The sub lurched backward and grabbed the drinks he was fetching and came back to great me with a pissed off look on his face.
Upon asking sub what had happened, he explained that the person asked him "Does your collar mean that you do whatever Daddy says?" and sub responded "Yes I do!" which then lead to this moron grabbing subs lock and tugging him downward. After the sub refused to comply and retaliated in a mean grimace, the person said "I though you did what Daddy says" to which sub replied "I do. But you aren't my fucking Daddy, and you don't have his permission!"

So learn your collar code! A collar and no lock means the person is submissive, but that does not assume you can be his Alpha Daddy or Sir. Just because you are aggressive, does not make you an Alpha, Daddy, or Sir. A collar with no lock is merely permission to start a conversation, which can lead to that other place, but it doesn't start there. However, a collar with a lock on it means that person is already taken and unless you have asked permission of the Alpha, Daddy or Sir, it means keep your fucking hands to yourself and your penis in your pants.
